
About the Artist
Born in Santiago, Chile, Christian Guerrero obtained his artistic training at the Instituto Nacional de Capacitacion Profesional, Chile School of Art. In 1994. He moved to United Sates in 2001. and currently lives in Columbia SC.
Christian has exhibited his modern art paintings at diverse venues including Alamance Paris, Santiago (1998-1999), Trustus Theater, Columbia (2017), Indie Grits Festival (2017), and Lexington Public Library (2017).
He is a very complex and versatile artist. He illustrated a children’s book, La Gente de la Tierra by Alicia Morel (1995) and created the illustration and graphics for the First International Congress Por la Vida y la Familia, Santiago, Chile (1999).
His participation in the Columbia’s Sate Fair exhibitions was rewarded with Fine Art Purchase Patron Award in 2008, 20012, 2013, 2014.
Invited to participate in the Art in Motion, 2015, he painted live at the Nickelodeon Theater, Columbia SC, and exhibited at Tapp’s Art Center, 2018.
In 2017, his work, The Artist’s Ride, was part of Toby Lou’s, the New Orleans comic, variety show.
He was also featured in the Columbia Star, as part of the Melrose Art in the Yard event in 2020. Christian Guerrero has been part of the Melrose Heights’ Art Event since 2020.
